I have a house with oil based paint and latex over it on the exterior trim – probably 3 coats or more in all. Several contractors suggest omitting the sanding step because their experience shows paint adherence is improved by doing this. What is your view?

?I painted a brick foundation wall (below grade) with Dry Lok.  The brick is over 100 years ol.  It is not damp or wet, but has been in the past due to grout degraded.  The surface of the brick is also degraded.  I scrapped the old paint off as best

If a wall is divide in half by a white board and I want to paint the wall blue do I paint the whole wall blue or just the top or just the bottom and leave the remaining wall white?

We have a small bathroom at our beach condo (10 x 5). There is no window. The unit was built in 1990. The ceiling was painted some sort of antique white to match the walls — that we now think is oil based. We painted over it with Sherwin William
