  1. Most supply stores sell concrete repair material… follow the directions and repair each area as needed… after completed, prime the areas with a suitable masonry primer, then top coat with an acrylic product, color of choice… Good Luck!

  2. To prepare a concrete wall for painting after removing peeling paint and encountering loose, crumbling sand areas, follow these key steps:

    1. **Clean the Surface**: Start by thoroughly cleaning the wall to remove any dirt, dust, or debris. Use a wire brush or scraper to get rid of loose material.

    2. **Repair Damaged Areas**: Fill in the crumbling sand spots with a concrete patching compound. Smooth it out and let it dry completely according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

    3. **Prime the Surface**: Apply a concrete primer to ensure proper adhesion of the paint to the surface. This will also help to seal the wall and prevent further peeling or chipping.

    4. **Choose the Right Paint**: Select a high-quality masonry or concrete paint that is specifically designed for exterior surfaces. Check the label to ensure it is suitable for areas with potential moisture and weather exposure.

    5. **Apply the Paint**: Use a high-quality paint roller or paint sprayer to apply the paint evenly across the wall. Make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding drying times and number of coats required.

    6. **Allow for Proper Drying Time**: Let the paint dry completely between coats and before exposing it to any moisture or weather conditions. This will ensure a durable and long-lasting finish.
