Using an exterior latex paint. Will this be OK over an oil base primer?

One Response

  1. Yes, you can use an exterior latex paint over an oil-based exterior primer. The only problem you might run into is the high humidity in your area. This will slow down the curing or drying of the primer. It could take an extra couple of days before you can apply some paint. Keep in mind that oil-based primers tend to have better adhesion and stain-blocking properties compared to latex primers, which can result in a more durable and long-lasting finish.
