I have a clear coated pine tongue and grove wall that a painting has hung on for ten years. When painting was removed, the pine behind it has not aged in colour like rest of wall. What are the options to make wall uniform other than sanding?

  1. Apply a fresh coat of Varnish to the entire wall, but give it all a wipe (lightly) with Lacquer Thinner, after lightly sanding all of it… use a satin finish clear Varnish (oil base)…
