What is the best way to refinish interior redwood tongue and groove wood walls?

I want to milk wash my stained pine t&g ceiling. Do I need to remove the old stain before using the milk wash?

Hi, I am in the process of getting replacement windows for my 1920’s home, which will also likely require replacing the trim as well. The original trim and doors are oak (I think red) with a deep reddish-brown finish which I’m guessing is some combination of shellac and a stain.

I made a white oak mantle (stained with Minwax golden oak). A month later built 2 side cabinets out of white oak stained with same can of Minwax. Mantle is a golden shade while the cabinets are not. Any fixes???
