It might be possible to mix a white or light colored stain into your existing stain. But, it’s impossible to know what the final color might be. Plus if you don’t have enough stain then simply buying more is impossible.
Whenever possible it’s best to use your preferred color mixed at the paint store, choosing the appropriate color from the ones available from the manufactures color charts.
Make sure to test any color you want to use before committing to the entire project. Purchasing a small sample can is better that several gallons and winding up with the wrong color.
