If there are several doors in a hallway, and the rooms are painted different colours, it looks better to paint both sides of the door white or leave them wood stained. Our rooms are different shades of the same family of tan shades and the white is a nice contrast in both hallway and bedrooms/bathroom.
When considering whether to paint the interior of a door the same color as the room walls, there are a few key factors to take into account.
Firstly, painting the door the same color as the walls can create a cohesive and seamless look in the room, making the space feel larger and more unified. This approach works particularly well in smaller rooms or open floor plans where a consistent color scheme helps to visually connect different areas.
On the other hand, painting the door a different color can add visual interest and break up the monotony of a single color throughout the room. This technique can be used to highlight the door as a focal point or to complement other design elements in the space.
Lastly, it is typical for all doors and trim throughout the house to be the same color and sheen. Although this is typical, the decision to paint the interior of the door the same as the room walls should be based on the overall aesthetic goals of the room. Consider factors such as the size of the room, the amount of natural light, and the desired mood or atmosphere. Experimenting with different color combinations through samples or digital visualization tools can help you find the perfect balance between cohesion and contrast in your space.
