With a dark brown tile on the floor if you painted the walls with ivory, it will look very good.
Personally, I am not a fan of gray and brown together. I would change the color of the walls to a really pale brown instead of light gray. Find a shade of light brown that maybe could be construed as a shade of gray, like a slate brown/beige. Just make sure the shade does not clash with your brown tile. Without seeing the tile, it's hard to judge what shade works.
Choosing the right wall color to complement dark brown tile can be a challenging task, but it is definitely achievable. In your case, pairing a light grey wall color with dark brown tile and white trim is a sophisticated and balanced choice. Light grey acts as a neutral backdrop that allows the dark brown tile to stand out while creating a modern and elegant space. The white trim will provide a crisp contrast against both the grey walls and brown tile, adding a touch of brightness to the room. To enhance the overall aesthetic, consider adding metallic or wood accents to bring warmth and texture to the bathroom. Additionally, incorporating soft, earthy tones in the decor such as beige, taupe, or soft greens can tie the color scheme together harmoniously. Remember to test out paint samples in the bathroom under different lighting conditions to ensure that the final look is cohesive and pleasing to both you and your boyfriend. With thoughtful consideration and a cohesive color palette, your bathroom redesign will surely be a success.
