Well, I was actually going to recommend using a yellow because pale yellow seems to brighten up when the sun is exposing it. If you do not wish to go with these colors, I recommend using a vibrant pink color. It will look fantastic in your room. Also, another color that will work well is a teal or aqua color. That will make your art stand out.
I am picturing an eggshell white, it would play well with the sunlight and it should look great with the artwork. I might be worried about mixing too much light with artwork though as it can fade the colors.
For a sunlit room filled with traditional landscape art, a suitable color choice would be a soft, warm neutral tone such as beige or taupe. These colors provide a neutral backdrop that complements rather than competes with the art, allowing the focus to remain on the intricate details and colors of the landscape paintings. Additionally, neutral tones help to create a calm and serene environment, perfect for appreciating the beauty of nature in the artwork.
Another option would be a soft, muted green tone, which can evoke the feeling of being outdoors and surrounded by nature. This color choice can create a harmonious connection between the indoor space and the natural scenes depicted in the artwork.
Avoid using bright or bold colors as they may clash with the traditional landscape art and distract from its beauty. Similarly, cool tones such as blues or grays may dampen the natural light in the room and make the space feel cold and unwelcoming.
Ultimately, the goal is to choose a color that enhances the traditional landscape art while allowing the natural sunlight to shine through and illuminate the room. Neutral tones or soft greens provide a versatile and timeless option that will create a cohesive and relaxing atmosphere for enjoying the beauty of the art collection.
