It’s possible the ceiling just needs another coat of eggshell. Ceiling paint is a dead flat sheen and somewhat hard to cover is one pass, showing through the eggshell in a few areas. This happens, 2 coats are always better than 1.
The ceiling paints we have used in the past don’t cover well and need multiple coats when applied by roller, best applied with a paint sprayer. When rolling any ceiling with any paint it is best to use the best paint you can afford and use a natural lambs skin roller cover, 1/2 inch for fairly smooth surfaces and 3/4 inch for most textures.
