Can steam damage paint?
A few months ago I repainted our bathroom, primed plus 2 coats, it looked perfect. Now the ceiling looks like I only put on one coat. My husband takes very long hot showers, could the steam be ruining the paint?

We bought a spec house. After about 2 years, there are black areas on the walls and ceilings at nails and stud/rafter boards. It is not mold. We painted and the black is coming through again. Any idea of a fix, rather than using painting as band-aids? Thanks!
