  1. After you clean and prep the brick… you can simply use a High Quality Acrylic Paint… like Sherwin Williams A-100 … apply a primer, wash coat) … let it dry, then finish with a heavy top coat… use a flat finish, altho gloss might look good too (and will wear better)… you’ll save a lot by doing this rather than using either of the mentioned paints in your question
    Good Luck

  2. When comparing LOXON XP and Romabio Masonry for painting a brick porch, it is important to consider their differences in composition, intended applications, and performance characteristics.

LOXON XP is a high-performance acrylic coating designed specifically for masonry surfaces, offering superior adhesion, durability, and resistance to harsh weather conditions. It provides excellent protection against moisture, UV rays, and fading, making it a reliable choice for exterior brick surfaces.

On the other hand, Romabio Masonry is a mineral-based paint made with natural ingredients such as lime and minerals, offering a breathable finish that is ideal for historic or sensitive brick substrates. It provides a unique matte finish and allows the brick to “breathe,” preventing moisture buildup and ensuring long-term protection against efflorescence and mold.

When deciding between LOXON XP and Romabio Masonry for painting a brick porch, consider the specific needs of your project. If you prioritize durability, weather resistance, and ease of application, LOXON XP may be the better choice. However, if you are looking for a more environmentally friendly, breathable finish that enhances the natural beauty of brick, Romabio Masonry could be the ideal option.

Ultimately, both products have their own strengths and considerations, so it is important to evaluate your priorities and preferences to determine which paint will best suit your needs for painting a brick porch.
