After cutting in do you need to let it dry before rolling the walls?

We have had our room recently plastered and we are now trying to emulsion the walls. However which ever roller we appear to use we seem to be getting a stipple effect. Can you please advise which roller we need to use to get a smooth finish?

Have old 70’s stained cabinets-have a painter coming tomorrow to estimate what is will cost to strip and paint them. What is a ballpark figure for this kind of work, so I have a clue if he is outrageous or not.

My kitchen cabinets are wood treated with linseed oil. I want to paint them but have no idea what to do before I paint, is priming enough? Will the paints stick to the linseed oil? and if they can easily be painted, can a normal oil based paint be used?
