I have a house that was built in 1986 and has oak kitchen cabinets. I would like to take them to a dark almost mahogany stain or a rich cherry. How would I go about this?

Just bought and install a new Fiberglass door, The sales person at the Home Depot told me to used regular car wax in order to keep the door looking new. Should I follow his advise or should I just go ahead and finish it with Clear Varnish.

We just stained our fiberglass Thermatru door and the color is TOO DARK. We have not put the topcoat on yet. Can we lighten the color a little bit? by using the lacquer thinner? OR? The Thermatru door has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE!! they are crazy charging a fortune
