A Clear Mixing Glaze for Exterior?

share

We have a shed in our backyard that we want to paint with a weathered/driftwood technique. We used this particular technique (https://www.prettyhandygirl.com/faux-finish-weathered-wood-grain/) on previous interior projects (doors and a mantel). Is there a clear mixing glaze that I can use that is safe for using outside? I haven’t been able to find anything. Could I just use a regular glaze for interior and just put some kind of exterior clear coat over the finished product?

  1. I’m not aware of an exterior rated glaze. But, you can still use a regular paint/glaze. When done with the technique you will need to seal it from sunlight (UV) and weather with an exterior rated clear coat. Can be water based or oil based, your preference.
