Correct blotchy exterior door paint.

I stripped & primed my mahogany entry door and painted it red using Valspar exterior latex. It is blotchy with very uneven coverage & brush strokes. It has raised panels with routed trim applied, so brushing seems necessary. Previous finish was red latex and it was applied with no problem.
