How should you paint trim that is covered with a wood grain vinyl finish?

I painted my living+dining room with satin paint and primer in one. Why does it peels when something rubs against it and when I put my leather couch against the wall? I pull it back and the paint sticks to my couch, I’m tired of repainting.
