I was away when the contractor put down my new tiles. The color variation is huge-not what I expected. It’s floor tile and quite porous. Can I use a dark stain to darken the tile? Will the stain soak in and be permanent? I don’t want to paint it, just

I tested Pratt & Lambert acrylic paint with built in primer, over sanded and washed bedroom walls. The acrylic paint scratched off after drying. Should I just go with oil based paint?
