We are getting ready to paint our bathroom, but it doesn’t have an exhaust fan and the room gets pretty damp. Do I need to use a special primer or will any standard interior primer work? Also, should I buy a certain type of paint for that situation?

How do I paint walls a solid color when there is MUCH previous peeled away paint damage? I am painting a small bathroom in our new house. The plaster walls had three coats of paint, with peeling layers. After two primer coats you can still see many many uneven areas.
