White Chalky Spotting

share

I just painted my house dark brown. Within a couple of days some areas are getting white chalky like spotting. What causes it, and how can I fix it?

  1. This is usually caused by improper preparation before the final coat… either mildew, or moisture…

Sand down the areas… spot prime them with an exterior Oil Base Sealer Primer… then touch up the areas with your finish coat paint… Good Luck!
