Patches Showing

share

I recently had my ceiling patched in spots and sanded. I just applied a coat of Kilz 2 primer to the entire ceiling. You can still see each and every patch. What can I do to get rid of them? Do I need another coat of primer on the whole ceiling? Spot prime? Or maybe regular paint? I don’t want to keep buying new products and trying things that won’t work. Thanks!!

  1. Kilz is a stain BLOCKER not a stain cover.

The product by itself will prevent a stain from showing through the final coat but will not replace the final coat.

Paint one coat on the ceiling from one side to the other and then paint on a second coat using a crossing method where you go across the grain of the first coat.
