Paint on Edge Too Thick

share

I painted an accent wall a few days ago and when I took off the painters tape the edge between the wall and the ceiling left a heavy thick line and the transition looks so bad. I know I applied the paint too thick so how do I soften up the edge so the wall and ceiling paint can flow better? Can I sand down the edge lightly with really fine sandpaper to get rid of that extra thick line? Do I need to touch it up?

  1. Never ever use tape to brush that edge… instead learn how to cut (brush) properly…
So now… use coarse sand paper wrapped around a block of wood (block sanding) to remove that edge… then REPAINT the entire wall… without using tape!!!
