Pink and White Room

share

My daughter wants her room painted pink and white. The ceiling will be white and two of the four walls will be pink. The opposite walls will be the same color. North/south, pink and east/west, white.

My question is how do I approach the paint job around the ceiling and in the corners to ensure sharp lines. The ceiling is textured, so I’m worried about clean lines.

  1. Use blue painters tape. Apply the tape to the ceiling as close to the corner as possible. Then apply a small amount of caulking to the corner, trying to just cover the tape edge. Paint as usual then carefully remove the tape. You will have a nearly perfect line.

You will have a little touch-up but not like free handing the corner with a brush.
