Our house siding is light house red colour, shingles are black, lots of white trim. What colour paint for my front door?

The painters were suppose to match the original paint, a pasty pale yellow. The paint they got from the matching place was more of a yellow canary color. Is there anything I can do to tone that down without painting again? Thank you, Lisa

We are getting ready to paint an old bathroom. The paint has alligatored. What preparation is necessary? I believe the old paint is enamel. Do we need to sand down the old paint?
