What type of paint should be used to paint a smooth star fiberglass exterior door by Therma Tru? Use alkyd or latex paint?

I want to paint my front exterior steel door (with sidelight) a dark brown. Do I paint the door frame and the trim or do I leave it white?

I have just recently had my barn re-sided with cedar. If possible, I would like to seal it with a clear sealer and retain the natural wood look. My professional painter friend says that no clear sealer will last longer than 3-5 years and suggests that I prime the cedar

So the painter left heavy runs over a freshly primed and drywall area. We notice in the evening what should we do? Scuff it, peel it off? Aura paint from Benjamin Moore.
