Shutter and Door Colors

share

Our house is a cottage style built in 1927. It has a green roof with ugly dark green shutters and doors. I am wondering what colors to use to repaint them? The siding is beige which I also plan on changing so would also like some suggestions for the siding to.

  1. I would go with historical colors. Golds and earthy browns are a good choice for accents. The siding can be a muddy (brownish) green or darker beige with a creamy white for the trim.

A pure white can also be used for accents as long as there is sufficient color to back it up.

Here's some Sherwin Williams historic color combo's that caught my eye.
