PAINTING WOODWORK THAT IS DARK WITH WHITE PAINT.

PREVIOUS WHITE PAINT THAT WAS OVER THE DARK BLUE WOODWORK WAS PEELING OFF. SHOULD I USE SOME KIND OF PRIMER OVER THE DARK BLUE BEFORE I PAINT IT WHITE AGAIN?

  1. Yes… scrape peeling paint down to a firm edge, then spackle the edges, then lightly sand them then prime all surfaces with a pigmented shellac sealer primer… then top coat…
