If your walls are without a texture then you will need to skim the affected areas with drywall mud, sand and repaint. If textured, orange peel or knockdown for example, all that you can do is apply more paint to fill in the affected areas. Skimming and retexuring a textured wall is difficult and best left to the pros.
Block Sand using a coarse grade paper… then prime with ONLY a Pigmented Shellac Sealer Primer… keep in mind that if you finish coat with a FLAT Finish, the unevenness will not be as noticeable…
