House OK through the winter with just primer?

share

My house has been scraped and primed with an oil based primer. It is now the middle of September and I don’t see how it will be painted by winter. What will happen to the house/primer without the paint on it?

  1. Have it painted right away… as long as you get 50 degrees F over-nite for 2 consecutive weeks for curing… otherwise you risk moisture damage to the substraight, since primer bonding only lasts 30 days without a topcoat, before it loses it's bonding strength…
