Maximum durability happens after full cure, about 1 month. This is a good paint but a bit soft for these doors, as you have found out. For more durability you will need to use a different paint. Kelly Moore's Dura-Poxy is a great paint for metal surfaces and is a harder finish.
I don't recommend applying a clear coat over the Acry-Shield.
