Preparaing walls after wallpaper removal.

share

My foyer walls were painted. I covered them with vinyl, strippable wallpaper some years ago. Now I have removed the wallpaper and cleaned the walls, but there are a lot of small areas where the original paint came off with the wallpaper. Do I need to apply anything to these areas where the drywall shows before I prime the walls?

One Response

  1. Prime the damaged areas, carefully scrape to remove any remaining loose paint then patch with drywall mud or spackling paste. After patching sand and texture to match the existing surface then prime the entire wall for good paint adhesion.
